Research-Based and CASEL-Aligned
It's not fluff. The In Control video curriculum is grounded entirely in scientific research about teen social and emotional development. Every series and video installment is aligned to one or more of the 5 core competencies of CASEL (the Collaborative for Academic, Social, & Emotional Learning), which offers the most widely-acclaimed framework of guiding practices for SEL programs.
By Educators, For Educators
The In Control video curriculum has been created entirely by certified educators and counselors with boots on the ground. The curriculum is sensitive to the needs of students, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
Built on Relevancy
It's notoriously hard to grab a middle schooler's attention--but we do just that. Our program kicks musty, dusty, dry pedantics to the curb in favor of pop-culture relevance and authenticity. Our curriculum looks and feels like a Netflix or YouTube show, and that's purposeful. We meet kids where they are at.
Responsive to School Needs
Our product is based on and sensitive to the tensions and demands of education in the year 2021. As those change, we change. Our philosophy is school-centric. You and your unique needs always come first.
